Zotero 6

Published by felix.kronenberg@gmail.com on

I’ve been using Zotero for over a decade now, and I’m excited version 6 is finally out. Zotero is a free research/bibliography. It is easy to import data from library and journal web sites through a browser plugin. The metadata isn’t always perfect, but it’s easy to update items. Over the years my zotero collection has become very valuable to me because I put all quotes into the notes field. Now, when I need to find something, I can simply research my own personal research collection. For example, if I randomly search for “motivation”, I get 33 references. And they are all of my references. Over the years, I’ve amassed thousands of quotes and can quickly access them.

And now with Zotero 6, there’s an app, so I can get access everything on my phone and my iPad. Even better, everything syncs. Reading and annotating journal articles on my iPad is even easier now.

I am so glad that Zotero not only staid around, but is actively being developed. It’s one of the best pieces of software I’ve ever used.
