Reviving and reinventing the blog
So, it’s been a while since I’ve written a post. I’ve been meaning for a while, but things have happened. Like a pandemic.
My last post was on February 7, 2020. Honestly, I have forgotten that I even wrote it, until a few minutes ago. It was about how buildings need to adapt to users’ needs, and how we started our co-design project. Well, needless to say, a lot has happened, and things are happening again.
In fact, the pandemic did not only raise some important questions about what really matters, where and how we can have an impact – it also showed how much we miss what we took for granted, while also showing us some potential benefits of meaningful change.
Writing blog posts at this point is something of an older technology. But that’s okay, other forms have come back. I started podcasting in 2005, when it was cutting-edge, and then a few years later stopped it. Now, podcasting is bigger than ever. So maybe blogging is coming back as well. Or maybe we just don’t call it blogging, and just call it writing, which is a tried and true process of dealing with complex information and difficult issues, and a good way to externalize and share thoughts and ideas.
